How are things down there? I’m way up here in Nova Scotia....secretly hoping the remnants of Matthew make it up here to give us a lot of rain, because we’re all suffering a drought from the summer and our well is SO low right now! :(

Honestly no complaints here just didn’t think we’d lose power. My money’s on we lost it cause some idiot on bald tires went out to get some dip/cigarettes/vape juice and took out a power line.

I’m legit amazed I have had a power out this year for similar reasons...waiting for the first snowfall I guess. Do you have a separate gen circuit, an interrupt of just chords?

Just cords but this was the last straw. Been wanting to add the Gen circuit and swap the carb to a trifuel so I can run on natural gas and ditch the gas cans but never pulled the trigger. I’ve now made a vow to myself to get it done.

While we are fortunate here in Missouri that we don’t get hit by the full force of hurricanes (although the remnants can do some damage when they come up from the Gulf), we do get the occasional ice storm that causes widespread power outages. We have a little 6500 watt Generac just for those times. Outages might last a few hours to a couple of weeks, although it has been a few years since we had a multiple-day event. The generator has been worth every penny. I do a test run once a month, and try to keep two days worth of gasoline on hand during the winter. Which reminds me... time to go fill up the gas tanks. Anyway, hope you get power back soon, stay safe!

My power was out for something like 26 hours. Just got it back a couple hours ago. Sucks.
